Gardens and Outdoor Life

Montessori Magnet School moved to its current location at 65 Tremont St. in 2005.  We were fortunate to have several low maintenance gardens surrounding the school put in when the school was built.  We have been gradually changing many of these gardens into perennial and herb gardens for the students to learn from and to attract birds and butterflies for the children to study.

MMS Mom Garden:

Along the Southern side of the school are several garden boxes that parents have donated bushes and flowers to as a memorial to a beloved teacher's mother.  Children worked together planting the plants and continue to work to upkeep the garden.  In the fall of 2009, the students planted bulbs in the gardens.
